Deputy Chief of Staff

Refonte’s Office of the CEO is seeking a Deputy Chief of Staff. In this role, you will handle special initiatives, facilitate cross-departmental communication, address top-level business unit priorities and goals, and manage strategic planning and processes. This is a high-demand position involving close collaboration with both the Chief of Staff and the CEO. The ideal candidate should possess a strong entrepreneurial mindset, be comfortable with detailed work, and be enthusiastic about engaging in intense, impactful projects that drive rapid career advancement. You should be prepared to take on diverse responsibilities across Operations, Finance, Marketing, Product, and more.

Demonstrated ability to lead projects and initiatives, establish credibility with internal and customer C-Suite stakeholders, and a readiness to take a hands-on approach to diverse challenges is essential.

You will:

    Collaborate with the current Chief of Staff and CEO to establish business priorities, drive the execution of key initiatives, and ensure alignment both between and within teams.

    Engage in special projects across various departments, including Operations, Finance, Marketing, and EPD.

    Assist in developing the overall business unit strategy, business development priorities, and internal operating models.

    Lead the weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual planning processes for the entire company.

    Lead the prioritization and execution of initiatives across the company.

    Conduct analyses and offer recommendations to support effective decision-making within the business unit.

    Manage key operational rhythms and processes (such as weekly leadership meetings, All Hands, OKR reviews, and team offsites), including preparing the agenda, facilitating discussions, documenting notes and action items, and ensuring follow-up.

    Serve as a thought partner to business unit leadership, proactively identifying risks and opportunities to refine our products and enhance internal operations.

Ideally, you’d have:

    4+ years of experience in management consulting, business operations, or other highly strategic, analytical, and operational roles within a rapidly growing company.

    Strong executive communication skills – capable of distilling complex details into clear and actionable insights.

    Compassionate and understanding approach in interactions with others.

    Proven ability to lead projects involving both technical and business teams, delivering high-quality insights and results despite ambiguity and tight deadlines.

Compensation packages at Refonte for eligible roles include base salary, equity, and benefits. The salary range displayed in each job posting represents the minimum and maximum target for new hires, based on factors such as work location, job-related skills, experience, interview performance, and relevant education or training. Equity-based compensation is also provided to eligible employees, pending Board of Director approval. During the hiring process, your recruiter can provide more details about the specific salary range for your preferred location and confirm whether the role qualifies for an equity grant. Benefits include comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement benefits, a learning and development stipend, and generous PTO. Additionally, the role may be eligible for extra benefits such as a commuter stipend.
